i will admit that i have contributed little to the occupy movement currently taking place across the country - but i am most certainly in the 99%, along with most people i know. with that said, i wanted to effing strangle some occupy sf campers recently!!

without much experience or knowledge on the movement, i do know the general goal is to get the 99% seen & heard. we are unhappy with the inequality & since we all know money talks, we had to be louder. occupy wall street started it all off: heckling the millionaires on their way to work, preventing them from getting to their mahogany desks and just making a little bit of their lives miserable. that is, before they get skinny starbucks delivered while being fanned by palm leaves … & forget there is even another few hundred million people in america.
on the other hand… occupy sf picked a lovely sunday afternoon in the desserted financial district to start a little impromptu market street rally which stopped all public transportation.
i can tell you right now that not even 1% of the 1% shows their face in the financial district on a weekend. they also do not tend to ride public transportation for some reason. maybe it’s the pee-soaked bums. who knows. either way, this particular rally seemed to only get in the way of the 99% trying to get by.
let’s keep our eye on the prize, people!
